17.8 Using a server from more sessions
If one user is running XAS from more than one terminal window (on the same machine), and
starts an
instance of a graphics server
this particular server is registered in the
XAS environment
for that particular session. Although
communication channels
may exist at an higher level, they can be accessed only in the given session.
To allow to use a server also from a session different from the one in which it was
started, it is necessary to register it with command
registerserver [server instance
Of course one shall also xasset the plotter variable and beware of the other setting
of the environment as described
elsewhere.
