Additional HPGSPC support in XAS
The following upgrades to the HPGSPC reduction are supported
unofficially
within XAS as follows (they are inspired to, but handled somewhat differently than, SAXDAS for similarity with the way things
are handled for MECS in XAS) :
- In order to cater for the modified gain operation since July 1999,
data (spectra, time profiles, photon lists)
accumulations and
gain history generation
are supported in a way similar to the MECS, in particular inclusive of
event corrections
- an informal procedure exists, along with the original IFCAI-supplied script,
to cater with background correction in the
case the rocking collimators are operated, and the background is derived
in offset.
- a new informal procedure exists
to cater with background correction in the
case the rocking collimators are not operated, and the background is derived
from Earth occultation data.
